What is a teaser trailer ?
A teaser trailer is a short trailer used to advertise an upcoming film, television program, video game or similar, usually released long in advance of the product, so as to "tease" the audience.
The difference between a teaser trailer and a theatrical trailer Teaser trailers are usually very short in length when compared to a typical theatrical trailer, teaser trailers are usually around 30-60 seconds long in length. Teaser trailers normally contain very little if any actual footage from the film. Sometimes a teaser trailer is just a shorter version of the theatrical trailer. Teaser trailers are usually only made for big budgeted and popularly themed movies. The purpose of a teaser trailer isn't to tell the audience about the movie's content, it is used to let them know that the movie is coming up in the near future and to create a hype of the upcoming release. Teaser trailers are often made while the film is still in production or in the process of being edited as a result they may feature deleted or alternative scenes which won't be used in the finished film.

A BRONX TALEWe used A Bronx Tale as an influence in our media teaser trailer because its based on a gangster/mob theme which is just like our trailer and also the clothes & props used in the trailer are similar to what we expect to use.
|
AMERICAN GANGSTERAmerican Gangster was a big influence on our teaser trailer because its the same theme (1970 gangsters) and also how that one gang manage to control everything and manage to scare more than a few people, this is similar to ours because hopefully in our trailer we will have the one gang which scare and control everything. American Gangster shows us how the 1970s gangsters and cops use to dress and the props (such as guns, badges, cars) looked like

THE GOD-FATHERThe Godfather was a great way of us looking at what we want and what we have, for example we want ours to look 1970 gangsters/cops theme and the Godfather has a lot of scenes where the cops and gangsters would dress (different angles and different camera shots).

LAW ABIDING CITIZEN
The plot focuses on a man who ten years after his wife and daughter are brutally murdered, returns to extract justice from the assistant districtattorney who prosecuted the case against their killers. His vengeance threatens not only the man who allowed mercy to supersede justice, but also the system and the city that made it so.

This screen shot helps to show miss en scene. The use of props in this film (Chainsaw) helps to emphasis on the extreme violence witch is associated with it. Due to them using a chainsaw instead of a knife shows how gory and gruesome this film is. The genre we have selected is crime, and our group doesn't have access to props such as chainsaws and big knives so our project will be less gruesome then this film.

i gave heathers weebly a 9 because i feel the research they had was relevant to the type of trailer that was being made. They had a good ratio of writing and pictures.
|
The evaluation i gave a 7 because i feel it was simple but not too creative.
|
i gave 9 for genre control as i feel that they went for action and there trailer was a fast cut trailer with action in it and soundtrack that fit the genre.i had to give the audience match a 5 because although there is no swearing i feel that if the film was to continue it would include visual and verbal features of a age rating of 15

_A group of bank robbers find their multimillion dollar plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective. In the trailer it makes out to be a film that is based on a lot of people. Its not just based on one person and because of the different voices you know that your going to get a lot of side of the story .e.g. the police side and the crime side.

Soundtrack is very loud, goes into the genre of rock. Its there to make the criminals look like very cool bad boys. The music is put there to match the action and to also add to the characters persona.

I think because the teaser trailer has a lot of action there's no need to use a variety of shots they just use close ups long shots and mid shots.

We have decided to get the best possible results and make our trailer more interesting we are basing our trailer in the 1970s America. To make this all possible we are going to have to change our locations and props. We have to analyze our locations and make sure that it has a style of a place that could be in the USA and has no indication of being in London.
